Our mission

We are a small charity based in Douglas in the Isle of Man seeking to love and serve the homeless.

About

We help people who are homeless and in insecure accommodation on the Isle of Man.

People are at the heart of what we do and the quality and extent of our work depends upon the generosity of those people who give of their time to be with us. We are very flexible as to how much people want to get involved. We're always happy to talk to people if they feel they have new ideas or ways they want to help that aren't mentioned here. Let us know!

Most all our workers are volunteers and we rely on the support and generosity of the wider community, not only financially (we receive no statutory funding) but in other ways as well. We have volunteers who serve at the drop-in; others who cook fresh food or run events. We also accept donations of food, toiletries and household items (we go through a lot of coffee and sugar!). We partner with other organisations serving vulnerable adults to operate a shared storage facility for larger household items or furniture.

Is there a way that you would like to get involved that we haven't mentioned? Do you have skills that you feel would be helpful in our work? Would you like to run courses with us, organise an activity, offer an idea? We are very flexible and would love to talk to people if they feel they want to be involved in a different way. Spark your imagination!
